Please note: It is required to purchase one digital score for each singer performing the piece.
"I Hope" is a distinctive and emotive stand-alone piece from the larger work "Tuvayhun - Beatitudes for a Wounded World." It integrates narration and music, creating a powerful tapestry of human hopes and aspirations.
In this piece, about 16 singers speak self-written prayers or hopes, reflecting a diverse array of perspectives on the world, our future, and the essence of humanity. Whether religious or secular, these narrations are (preferably) spoken in various languages, representing the native tongues of the choir members, symbolizing a global tapestry of voices and experiences.
What makes "I Hope" particularly unique is that each rendition of the piece becomes a unique manifestation of the choir's identity, allowing every group to create their own distinctive version. This aspect not only highlights the diversity of human experience but also enables each choir to contribute their personal touch to the shared narrative of hope and unity.
The piece comes in two versions: narration and strings, as in the original work, and narration and choir. This flexibility allows for a variety of performance configurations, including performances without a choir, using any group of narrators alongside strings.
"I Hope" symbolizes the world united in a joint expression of hope, a declaration that transcends cultural and linguistic boundaries. It invites us to voice our deepest hopes for a better world.
